Living with a child born with Special Needs and challenging behaviours.

Every parent hopes and prays that when they give birth to a baby that infant will be born in perfect health.  Unfortunately, there are times when the baby is born with a disability, sometimes physical and sometimes behavioural.  Learning how to best care for and support their very special child takes time, patience, love, empathy, tolerance and preferably some specialised training provided by a professional company such as tidaltraining.co.uk/learning-disability-training/challenging-behaviour-training-breakaway-techniques who can provide the relevant Challenging behaviour course for you.

You and your child will need plenty of additional support throughout your daily lives, speaking to other parents in a similar situation will help as will support from relevant charities such as Bliss, who provide advice to parents with an infant in special care. Another Charity who could help is Contact, who provide advice and support for parents with special needs children.  Being a modern, forward-thinking parent, you will understand how completing appropriate Special needs and challenging behaviour training courses can only help you be the best possible parent you can be.

Having specialised medical equipment provided by your local National Health Service, such as hoists, walking aides, a wheelchair, incontinence needs, and everyday essentials is something you and your child are entitled to.  Don’t be afraid to ask for help, trying to do everything on your own will be impossible, both physically and mentally.  Get involved with support groups and accept any help that’s offered by family and friends.
