How to Pair Wireless Call Buttons
Most Wireless Call Buttons are transmitted using licence-exempt radio frequencies and so do not require a license from Ofcom. They can be easily paired up with a receiver in a matter of seconds.
Put the Receiver Into Pairing Mode
Step 1: Switch on the Receiver On and Press the Receiver’s Pair ButtonPlace the receiver on the wall and make sure it is powered on. Press and hold the pairing button on the back or bottom of the receiver until the LED light starts to flash. The pairing button is often marked with a “learn” icon. Typically this takes around 2 – 5 seconds to put the receiver into pairing mode.
Register the Transmitter Button
Release the transmitter button when the receiver’s LED indicates that the transmitter has been successfully registered. The receiver’s LED will flash or change colour to confirm registration. If nothing seems to happen, ensure that you are close enough as there is a limit at long range where interference could prevent registration.
Pair Multiple Buttons to One Receiver
Repeat the steps for each of the additional Wireless Call Buttons, re-setting the Receiver to the learning mode for each transmitter button. Once a transmitter button has been added to a Receiver, it can be moved to different locations around the room and used as required.
Test the Link Once Paired
Press the button to test it from the location where it will be used. It should alert and be displayed on the correct call number. Test from the furthest point in the room, through walls, etc.
Reset and Start Again if Pairing Fails
If a wireless transmitter does not connect to a wireless receiver or if it connects to the wrong wireless receiver then it may be necessary to reset the wireless receiver back to factory settings and then re-pair all wireless transmitters with the receiver. A reset takes around 10 seconds to complete and returns the wireless receiver to out of the box settings.
After a few minutes you should be back up and running after a clean reset.
